Hot Topics in Breastfeeding Medicine
Thursday-Saturday, November 3-5th, 2022Join us for IABLEʼs 4th annual Clinical Breastfeeding Medicine Conference for Physicians and other Providers!
This innovative conference is taking a new approach - call it Journal Club on Steroids! Our in-person attendees will meet in small groups to discuss 1 of several research articles. After reviewing and discussing their papers, the groups will each have 30 minutes to highlight what theyʼve learned and what they want their colleagues to know. This is an opportunity to share critical thinking skills and create fun ways to share new information.
On our last morning, we look forward to a workshop on healing perinatal trauma with narrative medicine, and a history of medicine lecture focused the historical origins of breastfeeding myths.
We end each day at approximately 3:30pm so we have time to catch up with family, work, exercise, socialize, or rest up for the fun social events each evening!
Our in-person attendance is currently limited to 50, so we encourage you to plan ahead. And of course a webinar option is available.
Join us to have a blast, learn from each other, and relax!

Hot Topics in Breastfeeding Medicine
Wednesday-Friday, September 6-8th, 2023IABLE's 5th annual hybrid Clinical Breastfeeding Medicine Conference will be held in Portland, Oregon at the McMennamins Kennedy School Conference Center. These would qualify as 'counseling' sessions for anyone needing to meet IBCLC requirements.
The success of this conference depends on everyone's participation! This conference is designed for anyone who is seeking social time with their breastfeeding medicine colleagues while gaining knowledge and clinical skills via active learning.
Our in-person attendance is currently limited to 75, and we anticipate that the conference will fill, so we encourage you to sign up soon. In-person registration will close Aug. 18th.
